Scotto and Menefee is the worst pairing on GDNY not watching it anymore unless they bring back Bianca Peters chemistry is awful who agrees?

Menefee seems to be a good calm presence. Is he best with Rosanna? Debatable. Rosanna needs someone like Greg, someone who can match her energy.

Yeah the chemistry is very wooden between the two of them. I didn’t feel like it was that great with Lori either.

Chemistry wasn’t the best with Lori on air but they are very close friends from what it seems. Bianca and Rosanna had good chemistry and they seemed the genuinely get along, but still nothing will beat the days with Greg.

What highlighted the lack of flow with Lori is that she was a straight laced newswoman who came from a station that is mostly hard news. Rosanna is very loud and opinionated.

Good Day can be great again. Mike, Inez and Tina are fine. It's  Rosanna's co-host and the revolving door at Wake Up they can't get right.

If Mike Jerrick weren't probably close to retirement, and willing to move, he'd be great. Curt's hire is another attempt to duplicate Michael Strahan on GMA.

Beginning next Monday, August 12, I notice two new programs on the schedule:

Good Night New York - weeknights at 11pm on FOX5

The News on MY9 - weeknights at 8pm on MY9

Also, "The Noon," and the 6 O'Clock News expand to an hour each.

Good to see considering many of the FOX/My duopoly markets have already expanded on news in some form, wonder if sooner or later, we see a NYC-equivalent branding of FOX 5 Plus on ch. 9. Here in Phoenix, I know recently sister station to KSAZ, KUTP added simulcasts of FOX 10 News from 4-5:30 & 9-10 to their exclusive 7PM newscast as well as showing West Coast Wrap at 7:30.

Whoa, 8pm news on My9 to compete with CBS News New York on WLNY. And 11pm news to compete with ABC, CBS and NBC? Interesting moves! Also surprising they're doing this yet don't have a weekend morning newscast.

Edit: the 11pm  is called "Good Day New York at Night" and seems to be a re-airing or a "best of GDNY" show, so it will not be hard news or continuation of the 10pm.

The only thing missing is the news on weekend mornings.

Who will anchor the 8pm news on My9?

Would be nice if they let Teresa Priolo anchor the broadcast, but since she became the subject of so many screwjobs at Fox 5 NY, I highly doubt it.

So it looks like the 8pm show is going to be called “The News on My9” and the 11 is called “Good Night New York” so is it really a replay of GDNY, it’s only 30mins.

I’m also interested to see who will do the 8pm show, my guess is Steve and Natasha might just add it on.

TVPassport and WNYW's schedule both have it listed as "Good Night New York". It will air for 30 minutes at 11 followed by Battleground at 11:30. Would seem odd to sandwich Good Day New York lighter pieces between The 10 O'Clock News and Battleground.

KTTV has 'Good Nite LA' at 11pm, and it's a live newscast. No morning clip show, just playing off the branding.

This will be the first time since 2013 channel 9 has had a local newscast (not counting Chasing News) and the first time 1983 channel 9 has had a primetime newscast.

Whether the news was at 8:00 or 10:00, it was still in primetime.

It's 9's first newscast of any kind, in any daypart, since 2013.

I actually dont mind the GDNY compilation show at 11. Fox 5 News is unremarkable outside of mornings, so

I don't really care to see them expand news output. I like that TMZ is an alternative at 6:30 instead of more news in an already saturated market.

At least its good to see a newscast on Channel 9 again.

If they did hard NEWS at 11 or on MY 9, I'd like to see them do a creative spin like "The Late News" on WOFL Orlando. KRIV Houston is also another great and creative Fox O&O compared to WNYW.

At least Lisa Evers and Christal Young are great at giving them creative segments.

Interesting they’re finally doing more news. Other O&Os have far surpassed their output. WTTG in DC is practically on all day — but they’ve had other local programming other than news, a show like The View at 7 and Jim Lokay’s political late night show Final Five at 11:30

So the "News on MY9" is a repeat of the hour long 6 O'Clock News on FOX5, and even says "previously recorded" on the upper left corner of the screen with the correct time and temperature on the FOX5 bug.
