GoldenShine_10 263 Posted July 5, 2024 Posted July 5, 2024 With a wholesale "Weather Impact" brand, I wonder if any Gray holdouts will switch to "First Alert" where a Tegna station held the brand previously and let go of it? I think that could happen with WAVE at least. 1

And prior to that, they were just the WHAS Storm Team. (Unless Gray doesn't want WHAS's money anymore for royalties. Then WAVE will become the First Alert Station) 1 1
GodfreyGR 812 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Noticed that KARE had "Weather Impact" this morning. "Weather Warn Days" now "Weather Impact Days" to get in line with the branding. Made me click around on a rabbit hole... Add KSDK and KGW to the list as well. 1

Also KYTX is using Weather Impact as of yesterday (Sunday the 7th). 1 1
24994J 5888 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Tegna owns dozens of stations. We don't need posts when every station makes the change. Lest we forget... 1 4 1
DENDude 259 Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 KUSA has tweaked it's opening sequence a bit with the launch today of a new 3pm newscast, The Peacock while still white is bigger, plus the station is now using a V/O for the opening of the 3pm newscast & for it's long established 4pm newscast. 1

MeAndTheGraphics 16 Posted February 13, 2025 Posted February 13, 2025 Not that this will matter that much, but WVEC in my hometown just switched over to the "Weather Impact" brand as of today. Video Credit: 13NewsNow via YouTube. P.S., I won't lie, I like the previous banner they had prior. 1
TheRolyPoly 3510 Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 Old Dispatch graphics are still around at WBNS 10TV. 1
abric 228 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Sorry to bump an old thread, but recently 6 of the NBC Tegna stations (KARE, KPNX, KSDK, WCNC, WKYC and WXIA) have gotten new music (finally ditching C Clarity, thank God!) along with new opens, and transitions and updated L3s.
24994J 5888 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 If they aren't already, all of Tegna's NBC stations will have the refresh in time for the Olympics.

FWIW, KARE ditched C-Clarity a long time ago... Not sure when. I think they've just been using prod music for a bit. The refresh is nice, I just wish they would re-phrase the "STREAM NOW" next to the QR code on the rotating bug to something about "stream anytime", "Watch on-the-go", etc. Why would I stream you now on my phone when I'm watching on my big screen? 1
Drew 158 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Wonder if they will still have it "with Joyce Taylor" at 5pm. Too bad they are losing the logos like KING 5 Mornings and 9NEWS Mornings and going to "This Morning"
MidwestTV 1358 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Tegna sure does make bizarre music choices. The graphics are fine though.
hfiles 106 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I'll be honest: I was watching KARE11 on streaming over the weekend and didn't even notice they were new graphics. I just assumed they were the 'streaming coverage' version of the old package. Also, I think I'm one of the only people who actually thought C Clarity was kinda nice.

NEPANews 52 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 It's not too bad of upgrade, and some of the music cuts actually sound kinda nifty (such as the one under WKYC's top stories lead-in). But we all know the litmus test will be if "MCTYW-esque" survives again at WNEP.

andrizzle 0 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 WBIR has the 'new' graphics as of at least 5pm today Untitled.mp4
abric 228 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 The music sounds like what I would hear on CBC News in Canada. 3
