Very Today Show.

My first thought was actually: Very Fox & Friends.

Next step should be to get the weather graphics to match.

Liking the updated L3 color scheme for GDNY! Very Today Show.

We are going on 6 years with the graphics package. This is actually a nice refresh and update to the Lower Thirds.

Looks like each station in the group have went different directions either by changing the colors away from the Red, White and Blue or some have switched to the LIVENOW on FOX lower thirds

I still can’t believe there moving. This is just extremely rare this never happens in New York the networks stay in the buildings forever because of how historic they are ABC is doing something never done before. I don’t have a photo but I’ve seen WABC building it’s gonna be sad to see it go.

The WABC facility move reminds me of when there were calls here for WNYW to move facilities after complaints about building construction.

Is there a reason they never moved into the Fox mothership headquarters?

For those who remember her, Kayla Mamalak (now Altus), formerly a morning reporter at Fox5, is now Mayor Adams' press secretary. She had been deputy but when she came back from maternity leave recently, she was promoted. You can hear her telling reporters that they're not going to discuss other stuff in Friday's press conference. Talk about an unpleasant job to have right now!

Was thinking that as well! I'm sure she worked side-by-side with those people at some point, now she's having to be hostile with them.

I'm guessing that getting up at 2am for the morning news was probably more enjoyable than having to deal with the Adams mess right now.

Today, FOX5 launched their 4pm "FOX5 News Block" hosted by Linda Schmidt.

On MY9, they are now simulcasting the 9am hour of Good Day, with a repeat of "The Noon" at 1pm.

That leaves WCBS as the only station without at 4pm newscast.

Glad to see Linda Schmidt highlighted here! Saw a clip on youtube, it seems to have more conversation between reporters/anchors.

I don't get the insistence on going live at THAT hour. The only things live by then are the anchor reads and the weather because I'm sure all packages are pre recorded stand ups that point. Little to no production difference in pre recording.

I have to wonder what would've happened had the game actually gone till 4:00am or later. Delayed the start of the 4:00am news so the 10:00pm news can run?

Things got testy --again-- between Curt Menefee and Mayor Eric Adams 😬

Oh I saw that. Eric just trying to boost himself up, before he leaves office. Curt didn’t need to get that heated.

Curt Menefee has announced this morning that he is leaving Good Day, his last day is next Friday. My money is on Dan Bowens… or Maurice??

This was expected. Between NY and LA, it must be tiring and exhausting to do both WNYW and FOX Sports (during the NFL season).

Willing to bet that FOX 5 News is in talks with Maurice. But he, similar to Lori Stokes, is a hard news anchor with a calm personality. I'm not sure that would vibe well next to Rosanna Scotto.

Yup! Curt was okay but not surprising. He's near retirement age and traveling bicoastally every week. That's a lot.

Yeah, Curt probably couldn't handle the travel at his age. Strahan has been traveling back and forth for years but he's younger. And it played a factor in James Brown going back to CBS from Fox years ago, since commuting from DC (where he lives) to NYC isn't as strenuous as DC to LA.

I feel like Bowens is the better fit out of the two because he filled in regularly for Menefee when he was out and is already a trusted morning voice because of him anchoring the early portion of Good Day from 4:30-7am. DuBois anchored mornings at CBS New York during the late 2000s, so he knows how a morning show works but his hard news personality is more suited for evenings, but you never know.

I agree with everyone saying that DuBois is more of a hard personality, however it’s just funny how when Greg Kelly was leaving Lori was a direct answer as she was leaving WABC now Curt is leaving and DuBois is out at CBS

Dan Bowens is another calm personality. Rosanna's energy on the show might overpower his. She needs someone the equivalent of Mike Jerrick on Good day Philadelphia.

Sidebar,  I don't recall Sukanya Krisnan ever filling in next to Greg Kelly. That would have been a sight to see.

No Mo is too serious. Move Steve Lacy too the mornings give Maurice the evenings. But it’s mostly gonna be Dan Bowens.

Some of y'all are talking about Curt like he's 90 with one foot in the grave.
Have to do one round-trip, cross-country flight a week at age 60, but it's only for 20-plus weeks out of the year, and you get Fridays off on those weeks? The horror.

20 weeks is a lot. Flying across the country that frequently is tough on anyone, it's no surprise that he's leaving.

It's surprising that Steve Lacy is still an anchor and was it booted along with Dari Alexander
