Does anyone have any sneak peaks of the set or any ideas on what it will look like?

There were some photos shared in an earlier post here. Ryan Field posted some photos on his X account on the unfinished studio, but nothing recent has shown up, they are probably keeping it under wraps for now.

If we’re going off today, seems like she’ll likely ease her way back appearing only on the 11, while Sandra continues to fill in at 5.

If I recall correctly last time she was out she did the same thing for a few weeks. Glad she’s back.

a week from today

Is the anchor switchup happening at that time too? I noticed on Friday that Mike was also in for Bill at 5PM, but Bill was on at 6PM. And interestingly, Pedro was off this morning.

Michelle was off Sunday morning, Toni anchored with Pedro. A few weeks ago when Pedro was on vacation we saw Chantee Lans and Janice Yu with Michelle so potentially trying pairs again (yes I know they’ve all anchored together in the past) but if a move is coming maybe testing.

Also note that with rehearsals going on over on the new set this afternoon/evening they had Joe and Tanya anchoring at 5. Sandra anchored 6 solo

There are some screen shots on the sets and studios page, including a practice run for those that have not seen it.

Thats wild! Glad they had a safe landing! Im sure they'll be covering that tonight in their newscast.

BTW, Does anyone know when the final broadcast from the UWS studio is gonna be? I want to make sure I'm there for it! 🤗

No reason to think it wouldn't be Saturday morning.

They just had a really cool closing “thanking” viewers for watching and visiting them all these years in their building. They ended with a long zoom out of the outside of the studio and the extended theme. If anyone has it recorded and can post it was pretty cool.

New set debuts at 6pm tomorrow

Sorry if this was already discussed. Do we know what happens with the old building? Will it be razed or repurposed for something else?

A developer (silverstein, i believe) bought the facility, which will be redeveloped

I still can’t believe there moving. This is just extremely rare this never happens in New York the networks stay in the buildings forever because of how historic they are ABC is doing something never done before. I don’t have a photo but I’ve seen WABC building it’s gonna be sad to see it go.

It is sad to see WABC and the ABC network in general leaving its longtime home on the Upper West Side especially with all of the memories, newscasts, and personalities that have been coming in and out of those doors but I am glad that they are planning for the future and 7 Hudson Square will be able to accommodate those needs. The same standards that made the station the most watched in the Tri-State and in the whole nation will continue and will improve with being housed in this modern facility as well as the standards of the ABC News division. I am based in Los Angeles but I know people in New York so it is going to be a change for them when they watch Eyewitness News and network news programming.

Sade back at 5pm today.

Now that the new studio has opened, is there any prediction of Bill Ritter's work reduction?

It can’t come soon enough. For the life of me I don’t understand why he insists on ad-libbing as often as he does and making a fool of himself. Just read the damn prompter.
